If you have an LG6000 hold the star button. Silent Mode Activated will be displayed then wait and hold the star button again

Just want to bow and thank you sooo much!
I've called Verizon several times when I forget this trick and should have written out their instructions. Did you know your post is found via the Search feature on Yahoo? It's that important for us who just don't have the patience to follow all the steps for our particular carrier phone menus in order to use this feature through explanations from their customer service and techs. icon_wink.gif
It works!
Thanks ever so much!

All you have to do is mess around with your phone and you will get it. Nothing wrong with your phone is not hard to fix only the technical stuff like data cable help. This is nothing.

so.............. I decided to "mess around" with my phone. Dumb maneuver! I pressed pound for a few seconds to see what that would do. Now my phone is locked. I never did create a code to unlock. So, now what do I do NoTaTtHiScHoOl????

A 1000 thank you's!!! Like the other's this was driving me crazy. What I can't figure out, is how my phone mysteriously gets into this mode. It also gets into Driving Mode, but I've figure out how to turn that off. The only thing is, you don't know your phone is in one of these modes until you look at it or someone says they've called.

icon_squint.gif Not sure about other models, but the MANUAL for the VX8100, page 10 (Pictures of the phone INDEXED) - Item 10 Reads: "Vibrate Mode Key Use to set the mode (from standby mode press and hold for about 3 seconds)"

***AND***

Page 16
Vibrate Mode... gives detailed instructions together with an explanation of the Vibrate Mode Icon which will be displayed when Vibrate Mode is enabled.

Suggestion: Post the model of your phone in the Subject Line so those who would respond to assist you would know. AND Read your Manual.
