Which is better Ngage or QD in terms of running apps other than games.
Can I still play mp3 somehow through Java and sis mp3 players.
Lastly, Which Nokia smartphone has the best sound quality for playing mp3 and other sound formats.

nagage QD is beter ofcourse
as for nokia smartphone...all fo them have mono output...though the 7610 is quoted to have an enhancment to improve the voice quality....and it covers most of the formats 2

I'd say N-Gage. Its a taco, i know, but still its better than the QD featurewise.
N-gage is best for playing mp3s. Its the only nokia current smartfone which plays mp3s in stereo.
U can play mp3s in QD, but they r in mono and mono suxx.

Mono ain't that bad... but really bad is on these software mp3 players is the very lousy sound quality...
I would also recommend the N-Gage.
And accourding to the first benchmarks the N-Gage is faster than the QD.

today i have gone to the dealer wat i come to know that in ngage qd u r not getting an mmc card free. They say that u have to pay it. So tell me why more of people suggesting ngage qd over ngage. I agree that n gage look wise and side talkin is the main problem and wat else is the problem
I again tell u one more thing
that NGAGE QD
doesn't have Mp3 Stereo
doesn't have FM Radio
doesn't have USB port
doesn't provides free 32 mb or any MMC card ( please confirm )
but has Hot swap
looks good
brighter backlight ( just tell me is it true, the users tell me abt this)
Battery life
Price : Rs. 9750 ( $ 210 )
while the ngage normal has mp3, radio, a free mmc , a usb port nut look wise its not that good ,
also confirm with the screen size and brightness and
really tell me is there a big deal with side talkin...
And you people tell me if u can adjust with side talkin than u should buy ngage classic,
but...
i haven't used any side takin fone , so how can i come to know whether i can adjust with a side talkin fone, All users of ngage, tell me is there a problem using it as a side talkin or its just normal and can get used to it after some time.
The price of ngage normal here is Rs. 8800 ( $ 185 )
if qd is not providing a free mmc than why, the price of handset more than the old piece.
Nokia has also claimed the price of the new fone will be less than the ngage orignal, but its having a much difference as the price of ngage qd is more than the price of ngage orignal and in that also ngage qd is not providing mmc where ngage orignal does provide.
do u think that the price of ngage qd will fall
I really find qd looks very cool but feature wise ngage old is the good fone
I jut want to use a symbian fone , previously i have myself 3660 but i have not used that fone as there was some problem with that fone and i returned and now i can't spend much money on fone so i skipped the idea to buy 3660 and so i decided to buy ngage as its a symbian fone and also its a cheap fone.
The basic thing is that i want to use the symbian functions of the fone as its very interesting i have heard , mnay things i can add ,mp3 and movies are fun.
please suggest me a good fone as i really want to buy but i am very confused
tell me wat u recommend if u want to recommend me a symbian fone. ngage ngage qd or wat else
do answer all my qustion pleaseeeeeeeeeee
and be sure to tell me that is nokia not officially giving free mmc with ngage qd

Side-talking isnt bad. Its not that u wont hear properly or sumthing. U will be able to hear properly. But the only issue is that for some people it is wierd.
Excpet side-talkin, hot-swap and size, I find no other reason why one should choose the QD over the N-Gage.
For general users such as us, hot-swap is meaningless. So only issues are side-talking and size. If u can deal with them, i say get the normal n-gage.
And yes, the screen of QD is brighter, but still its not that big a difference.

Things there in both the devices, things i needed in both the devices
Brighter screen - If u could tell me is theres really a difference on both the devices
Small or Big - I will prefer small , but if big also theres no problem
Hot Swap - Don't know whether its really needed, but i will tell u one thing that i am not going to buy more of mmc cards for playing games , i will use mmc cards for applications , symbian applications or watching movies and mp3s , i will play games but not buy a mmc for it.
Mp3 - yeah mp3 is needed but in ngage qd u can install software and mp3 can be played , howz the clearity, but clearity doesn't really matters, the only things which matters is , if i try to listen mp3 from ngage qd... is the sound normal ,loud and clear ??????, if its clear than please tell me ,
as the only things matters is mp3 should be there , if its clear than its good
USB - Tell me whether its really needed , as i have a mmc reader with me. wat is the use of USB port , file transfer... which i can do it with mmc reader, but its a different thing as i have to remove the mmc to do it. If a USB port is really needed than tell me.
Free MMC Card - I think in ngage qd if its costly than the old one than they should have provided a free mmc too. but they haven't , please reconfirm whether nokia is officially providing a free mmc with qd or not.
Looks Wise - Fone should look good. N Gage Qd anyways looks good.But as a users, u all people tell me whether ngage is look wise looking worse or not worse but better.
Battery - I would like to have a good bettery life. I will be spending 3 to 6 hours a day not on playing games but downloading using applications and doing some r n d in the fone and watching movies.
FM Radio - not really needed, but its there than obviously it will be good.
Side Talkin or Classic Talkin - Classic talkin i prefer. But is side talking really a burden using that fone.
Camera - will in future i will be able to attach camera on that fone.
Recommend me a fone which you think will be better in terms of my usage
Or do you recommend me another symbian fone. Do you have any idea whether the price of both these handsets will fall or not

Yes, like i said in my earlier post, there is a difference in the brightness, but its not that much. The brightness of an n-gage display should suffice.

Trust me when i say this, mono isnt good. After u've heard stereo, mono is just crap!!

If u have a reader, than that's the best. Nothing's faster than it.

Like i said in my earlier post, NO mmc with QD sales package officially.

Side-talking is wierd. But that's my opinion. There are lots of people who dont mind it at all. So take a demo of the phone and decide whether u can live woth it.

Yes, companies are introducing new phones, but im sure that they wont be as cheap as either of these 2 phones.
