i had a problem where i got errors and it said something about not being able to open a com port.
this is what i did.
A) uninstall ALL motorola phone tools
B) uninstaleld all bluetooth software.
C) Rebooted
D) reinstalled blutooth software
E) Reinstalled all motorola software and updated.
this corrected my error.
turns out it was a bluetooth issue.

I have the same problem with my Motorola A835 and Logitech MX900; I just found out that when my mouse isn’t connected to the MX900 hub the phone can send vids, pics and bus. cards.
Just try rebooting, but without touching your mouse so it doesn’t connect to your Bluetooth hub, then send something from your phone.
I'm just scanning the net now to find out if there is any resolution to our problem; I'll let you know .
B.T.W. I can’t get Phone tools to work with Bluetooth, after a couple a seconds searching the program crashes! SpirituSancti do you have the same issue or should I re-install?

Guys thanks. Now I have my V600 communicating with the computer.
For anyone else, this is what I did.
a. Boot the computer without any dongle connected. Turn off your phone.
b. Connect USB Dongle and allow computer to load drivers.
c. NOW install phone tools.
d. Once it is installed, allow Phone Tools to run its search for the phone. At this stage TURN ON YOUR PHONE.
e. SWITCH ON your Bluetooth and then make the phone discoverable. Phone tools will do a search, find the phone and then ask you to confirm pairing with a PIN of its choice. Your V600 should then ask if you want to connect to your computer. YES and then it will ask for the PIN. Insert the PIN within the 60 seconds.
f. Within a few seconds then the Phone Tools will Initialise a computer copy of your phone the computer screen. WAIT and allow it to complete the sync, which took me about 60 seconds. Once that is complete and the computer phone message "Initialising" disappears, you are now ready to play with your phone.
Have fun and well if anyone still cannot follow these instructions, please email me at gjb74@hotmail.com and I will try and talk you through.
Just remember, I was there once and it is possible. I would have RTFM, but I had no manual.
Stay sane.
