ie , I found a Nokia 6610 a while ago at a local park , and a few weeks later then phone was blocked by all service providers in AUS using the IMEI block method . or "Black List" ... Fair enough , but im going over seas to London and France later this year , and Im curious as to if the phone will work over there. I only need to use it for a few weeks , but the IMEI blocks only work in the country it was blocked in right ?...
Thanks guys ..

So it will work ?.. ok , thanks that will save me the hassle of buying another phone to use over there for a few weeks ..
abhishta: In all seriousness, yes i know its illegal, I have a perfectly good phone right here, except for the blocked IMEI , I need to use the phone for 3 weeks .. I dont think there is a person on this planet who is going to go and fork out $$$ for a new Tri-band phone just to use for 3 weeks, when they already have one .. Im not a criminal and I didnt steal the phone , but I really dont care if the phone networks say "Its Illegal" if it works and its going to save me from buying a new phone, ill use it , im sure you would too...
Thanks for your help guys ..

Dude, do you know nothing?
In Australia are the same GSM frequencies used as in Europe
So your phone will also work there...

Your phone for sure, the 6610 could, sometimes they are blacklisted on many providers.
