I have lost my phone so many times and have had to replace every one of them. I got fed up with my own carelessness and decided to do something about it. I contacted a few lost and found recovery services and the best one I found was called TrackItBack. Since the I have still lost a phone but the good news that I got it back within hours of losing it - FOR FREE. I recommend using some sort of lost and found recovery in the future, they can save you a lot of money.

This is great topic. I just wrote an article about this topic and things sure have changed from initial posting here of 2005.
I did not know about the TrackItBack but my article does have several other suggestions for cell phone users and locating lost cell phones and the prevention of losing those cell phones
In my article I talked about getting a key finder and attaching to cell phone. I am getting one soon as I have been losing my phone a lot more than normal and can really relate. Here is link to my article.
My article is on ehow under pen name of Alrady if you want any additional tips.
