My AT&T sonyericson cell phone (T610) was lost
What should I do now?
I NEITHER wish to pay $179 to cancel my number and buy a new phone with new plan NOR get a new replacing cell phone with retail price ( a new sonyericsson is about $200-$400).
How about a cheap phone in amazon? But the problem is how that phone work with my exsiting number?
P/S: I disconnected my phone for a month. After that, If a new phone is not availalbe to replacing, I have to cancel my account
It is GMS AT&T Sonyericson T610

Have you told them you lost your phone. My account had a replacement plan where I paid a portion of the phone cost and got a new phone if it was lost. Also, if the sim and all is being used, they can usually track down the phone. I found a phone once and when I turned it on to see if I could find the owner it played the message "this phone has been reported lost or stolen and is being traced, please return to the nearest whatever service it was provider" Either that or you will have to face the reality of cancelling or buying a new phone. You may be able to get another sim if you buy a new phone from ebay though

ok to anyone who loses their phone. CALL IN ASAP TO REPORT IT LOST OR STOLEN, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CHARGES UP UNTIL IT IS REPORTED LOST/STOLEN. Having said that this suspends y our acct for 30 days, allowing you to find your phone or replace it. If you have been an active cust for about 9-10 months and have not bought a new phone thru us in that time there are usually discount prices available for a new phone or if you are a gsm cust you can go online and get a refurbished phone for very cheap or free without a contract extension. Bear in mind that if you are in contract and you phone is suspended you contract is extended by the length of time the service is suspended be it 1 day to the full 30 days, BUT at least someone isnt out there racking up your phone bill. If you do not reinstate within that 30 day period your acct will be cancelled and if you are in contract a early termination fee will apply. You can go to a store, friend online and look for a refurb phone, just make sure it is the technology your acct is in and that it is an AT&T wireless phone and yes your phone number and your entire service transfers to the new phone.

Being you refer to att as us, I am assuming you work for them. This dissapoints me. I was a customer of Voicestream and thier policy was that if your phone was lost or stolen, they would try to help you get it back. Not just "suspend you for 30 days" and basically say "your welcome, good luck with that." Although, as proven by other posts I have been involved in, there is a lot of fraud to be found with "lost or stolen." I guess it all comes down to putting a leash on your phone and never letting it out of your sight.

people who loose their at&t phones, and are still currently under contract can easily upgrade their existing rate plan to a cingular one.. we do offer free phones (which i suggest to stay away from) and phones which are better then the at&t gsm's, no cancellation fees, no activation fees, on a cingular network, better plan, no roam/LD, overall i don't see why somebody wouldnt' want to??

Hi,
I lost my cell phone. I know its still in my house but everytime I call it it goes to a busy signal. Is there anyway to track my phone by calling my phone company or what? I need some help so please reply.
