Anyone having problems with the LG VX6000 driver needs to download it from the quote above. I tried using version A because I had the little black box on my cable, but it still didn't work after 3 attempts. Then I used version B and it worked just fine. It goes through 3 different installs before it's complete. Then use BitPim and you're in business.

ok here is how u do it.
u d/l the previous post http link and get the version b software main reason y is like my cable it has the little black box in the center but is not working.
some boxes got a little switch on them to switch from charging mode to data mode and the version b has no switch just a hole there.
now u d/l the version u need a or b. then u go to http://bitpim.org and d/l the latest software. once u do this u install the version software for it to tell what the cable is for to the computer.
then u install bitpim it show how to transfer the phone info to the pc. u go to open bitpim and then u need to go to edit then settings and set your phone model in the phone type and set your com port by clicking browse, and find the one that says com5 should be the bottom one. (diagnostics port)
then u go to ok button. go to view and make sure the data filesystem is checkmarked. then u will see a little folder with a + by the left side of it.
clcik on that + one time and it should retrieve all the info u have on your phone.
the camera pics u have saved is in the cam tab on the left pane. u open it and u will see like pic00.jpg blah blah up to 20 total pics if u have deled some pics off it will have a higher number there.
then u right click on the first pic u want to upload example pic00.jpg and u click on the save word and it will ask where to upload it to on your comp then u type in the pic name or u can upload them all and then put names in them.
always make sure to name them something cause if u don't then it will copy over your pic00 with the new picture u took a day later after u deled the first set of pics off your phone that u uploaded to your comp.
it will always use pic00-20 or whatever.once u save the pic then u can eitehr delete it from the cam folder or u can del them all from, the phone like normal.
that should be all u need to do for uploading pics off the phone. now as for ringtones and stuff i wont be able to say till i go and play with it. just remember DO NOT PLAY WITH ANY OF THE SETTINGS OR DELETE ANY OTHER FILES.
even if u go looking through the folder u can PERMANENTLY screw your phone. then u will have to get it reprogrammed at your cell company so take my advice and del them like u would normally.
hope this helps everyone, more to come once i get done doing it.

I recently purchased a Straight usb cable from an ebay store which did not come with any drivers. I downloaded the US Cellular VX-6000 USB Drivers from the LG Website and tried to get BitPim, DataPilot and CleverCell to read it with no luck. Is there a special driver i need to download to get BitPim to read this or some special software i need to access the phone?
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank You
