thanks for the quick reply.
i walked in to tmobile today and i think i just went into a panic.
turns out the R that is on my phone now is normal because the v200 flash is european and supposedly european networks are always on roaming.
supposedly my service provider does not have roaming so i think im ok.
we'll see my next cell phone bill i guess.
wonder if anyone else in the us has experienced this.

im not to sure bout the 200c>200 flashing, but u could back up your original firmware and give it a try and if its not sucessful just re-flash back to the original.

i sort of get what the instructions are to flashing, but i have a question regarding which cable do i use exactly? i've read stuff about how you need a FLASH/UNLOCK cable to flash it and that the data cable cannot do it? and from this forum, i'm given the impression that the data link cable can do it... so i was wondering which cable exactly works and who's done it and it worked for them? also, i heard that t-mobile is unlocking people's v205s for free in a few weeks.. so what effect does that have on the flashing process?? thanks
