um... it's a world phone so the firmware can be used worldwide no matter if you're in antarctica (if there's a GSM network there ) you shouldn't have any problem in Brazil with V200 firmware.

I followed the steps succesfully up until step e. after I connect the phone and power it on, the phone does power up and the program does not do anything at all. Did I do something wrong. Please help as I can't get past this step towards flashing my phone.

Hi MrQ
I have a problem after fleshing. Phone completely functional camera, phonebook… inconvenience part it can’t get any network so I get ‘No service’.
What should I do to fix this?
Another question, after which step should I get my SIM beck to the phone?
Thanks in advance.

Make sure that in the US, you're choosing the network band of GSM 1900, not GSM 900/1800. Put the SIM card back in after putting in the unlock codes.

use automatic network selection. and again make sure GSM 1900 is selected. also don't do it inside your house/apt. go outside to the middle of manhattan or something. if that still doesn't work then maybe your module is messed up.

i was having the same problems as all of you problem people, but i got it to work, this is my first day on this message board and all, but here is what i got out of it. after you follow the steps on the first page, you might get your phone in german, just put the codes in again, but instead of using the first one, stackwhatever it was, do that one last, this should fix it so it's in english. then if you have no service, go to network services and band selection. from there choose the gsm 1900 if you're in the U.S. that should get your tmobile phone up and running, thanks to all the posts and everyone who was helpful to me. good luck to all you others still flashing

call t-mobile and ask them for the settings. they'll give it to you since you are paying for their service.
