ok I did everything Mr Q has specify...backup works fine...verify backup works fine...then error comes up when I try to flash it with the new firmware that is included...now I can't turn on the cell, and I can't even use the backup...HOw can I fix this nasty problem??? ANyone pls help me a.s.a.p!

I found out the computer I used had a hardware problem with the com port...so for those of u who have the same problem as me just make sure ur com port is working fine and make sure ur max baud rate from the optflash settings and fromt the device manager settings are identical...

try flashing it again... and remove the battery for about 10 sec each step

Does the instructions you posted on flashing the v200 firmware the newest version of the firmware? Possibly with Jave or Midlet support without bugs? If it isn't do you have just a version and would be kind enough to send? Thanks.

Hey MrQ,
i'm a newbie to this flashing stuff, so here goes....i bought the data cable from radio shack which the salesman said would work for the v205 also.....it fits and it's for the sprint samsung a310 phone. the plug works and everything, but when i go through the intial steps to pre-flash test, it will say "power on mobile" like it's not reading the phone i turn on the phone and wait and wait and the message is still there,by the way it is a USB cable...could that be the problem? I've tried the com1 and com2, and they both say that, anyother com gives an error message...do i have to but the actuall serial data cable?thanks for any help

i've neva flash with an usb cable before but the data cable from the s300 works flawlessly unlocking and flashing

Sorry to disturb, but do you follow these instructions for the v200c as well cause i see that the instructions is for the v205??
