My problem is deeper than choosing a camera phone. I recently bought my daughter a Nokia 6010 for her birthday. She loved it, now she hates it. It's really hard to blame her. The screen res is pathetic, and it's so dim. Top top it off, this appears to be a new design (keypad), so it's been impossible to find faceplates. Her pals are showing off new cool plates, making matters worse.
Anyway, my daughter has been a complete angel about it, but it's obvious she is unhappy. So, I want to one-up her friends and get my daughter a new kickA camera phone. I'm going to try and get T-mobile to make some type of deal, but it's only been 3 months and I'm sure they'll do NOTHING. So, I may need to buy outright. I've been shopping all over, ebay included. I see now that the Motorola V600 is available for TMobile, as is the Samsung E715. I noticed the screen res is much better with the V600, but it lacks a flash (I'm pretty sure), which the Samsung has.
I'm tired of buying cell phones. I'm sitting on about 7 now. I know the dig pictures are not that great of quality from these phones. But why can't I find a place where I can compare? This site should have a place where users can send in photos and state the phone model that took them. That would be so helpful to determine which camera phone takes better pictures.
How about a poll?? It would be great to hear the opinions, but seeing real samples would speak very loudly for determining good from bad.
I have also seen all over ebay where they are selling "UNLOCKED" phones. If this is really okay to do, can I buy any phone that will accept my daughter's sim, and use as usual? Considering the UNLOCKED" option, I wouldn't be limited to the few phones TMobile has.
My main interest is the screen/display quality and photo quality.
Thank you in advance for your comments!
Joe

Yes, u could buy unlocked phones which would generally work with the sim of any provider.
Just make sure u buy a phone which will actually works in your area(Band of Operation).

Josephv,
I hope you dont take offense to this as this obviously isnt your daughter im refering to but why are teenagers so funny about their phones? Some of them now wear them round their necks like medallions! Dont you think thats odd. You have a teenager so maybe you can fill me in? To me as long as I can call people and text and the phone is not the size of a houseboat I dont care what phone I have! Oh well sorry I cant help you with your problem. The only thing I will say is be carefull buying unlocked phones they might be a little be Dodgy!.

The Motorola V600 takes good pics but to me they're a bit dark, the quality of pictures from the Samsung E715 to me is awesome!! if your daughter is looking for features to impress her mate's with I would definately go for the Motorola (has a lot more features like downloadable message alert tones etc...) but if she really wants to impress her mate's go for a Samsung SGH-P510 (auto-flip really impressed my mate's!!) or D410 or the T-mobile branded D415 (slide phones), read a few review about these phones and compare features because i'm just another n00b, can't really tell you much mate have fun lol.

Hi, go to mobile-review.com... Turn to english, read reviews, also pictures are shown, so you can compare camera quality. I recommend sony ericsson k700 or moto v600
