Hi There
I just got an E800 today on Orange. I am trying to find a way to unlock it to all networks. Anyone got any clues? The E700 codes do not work.
What does the SERVICE DISPLAY option in the settings do?

I think u may hve a 2 wait bit, since the phone is still kinda new. Most specialists probably still dont no how to unlock it yet.

If anyone figures out what the SERVICE DISPLAY does, please post. Even the manual doesn't tell what the actual function is?

I wudnt try messin with that setting. I think it suppose to provide extra functions which r on special sim cards provided by networks. Jus a question hve u had a try of connecting your phone to a computer using EasyStudio.

I have not been able to get hold of a copy of Easy Studio. All samsung websites around the world say that there is a NEW version being released on 11 Aug.
e.g.

The new Easystudio was already released but the their sites arn't uptodate. Get it from http://www.geocities.com/don_x1/ and for those who want to unlock their E800 download Samsung Service Tool 2.00 too.

Personally I think it's quite good, though maybe not the uber-phone that the adverts make it out to be.. there's quite a good review at Samsung SGH E800 - Mobile Phone Directory if anybody's interested too

You cant use cables which r from phones like the t100, becuse they use a different type of software from the serial cables tat r being used 4 phones like the e700.
