Reset to factory settings by doing the following :-
1) *2767*3855# phone will reboot to original settings
2) *2767*2878# phone will reboot
3)Press *#06# to get imei, write that down
4)Insert diferent sim card from different company
5)Turn on, at sim error enter *2767*688 + imei number followed by# (example)*2767*688352787123423456# (imei has 15 numbers also located on back of phone)
6) Phone will reboot to your new service provider, enter *0141# then hit call button
Phone should say personalized.
THIS SOULD UNLOCK THE E715
TRY AT YOR OWN RISK ... !!!
THIS DOES NOT OPEN THE PHONE TO ALL NETWORKS
ONLY THE NETWORK OF THE SIM YOU PUT IN THE PHONE
BUT IT CAN BE CHANGED ANY NUMBER OF TIMES
TO ANY NETWORK YOU WANT THE PHONE ON ... !!!

Unlocking your phone for good
start your adventure with *#9998*3323# and any invalid (to the lock) sim, then select mallov fail and after reboot *0141# and hit call. It will then ask for your password which must be 00000000 (change it back and try again if you have changed it). If this doesn't work try #0111*password# where I don't know the password value yet as 00000000 tends to be wrong for ver 1.6 and if all else fails Cerebros is available on my site.

Hello,
First, upgraded my f/w:
from: E715UVDC5, Rev E7 1.8
to: E710XXDF4
The upgrade of f/w went fine. Now the problem is as follow:
Once I insert my SIM card, USA T-Mobile, it keep saying NO - SERVICE or LIMITED - SERVICE. I tried BOTH, Automatic and Manual NETWORK selection, but no success.
I love the features in E710XXDF4 and I really want to keep this f/w. Please help me figure out what's wrong and why can't my phone don't see the NETWORK?

Seems you got a firmware that has been locked to a certain service. Surf on over to http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/j/sjs342/Cell.htm and grab Cerebros. This will unlock your phone and should allow you to enjoy full service again.

Unless I am going craxy or too many late nights to fix my problem:
I can't find Cerebros or anything near that name???? Which software package I am supposed to download from the link you put up in your last post  ?

Hello Roswell,
Thank you for the link, it's working and I downloaded the Cerebros 1.5. But, when I open it and try to run it. I can't choose my model.
The E71X is not listed. Am I supposed to choose another model in place of E71x?
Infect, I also downloaded the Agere 3.08 and Samsung_Tools_X100_E710_S500 but no LUCK. In the Tools_X100_E710_S500, there were no instruction either so dunno what to do.
So far you have been great help, but please push me over the edge  now so I can finish this mod and enjoy it.

u can not run e710 firmware in usa becaz
E710:900/1900
E715:900/1900
in usa carriers uses 1900mhz mostly so reflash ur phone to e715 firmware

Can you validate above response? I thought XXXXXDF4 F/W should work in USA?
If not, can you tell me which F/W will work that will allow me to record video too?
