I had the same problem. Differences were always present when flashing either firmware--even the orginal backed up version.
I flashed with both the D410 and D418 firmware and each would just show the GPRS logo and then go into a continuous reset cycle.
I restored my orginal firmware but the phone had problems with playing the built-in sound files. On startup the familiar start sound did not occur. If I tried to set the Ring Tone to something else or set the Ring Volume the phone would reset. If I took a picture, the phone would reset. If the Ring Tone was set to a built-in sound then the phone would reset once a call was received. If I set the Ring Tone to a downloaded Ring Tone (you can only do this via Funbox->Sound and then set it as the Ring Tone when playing the sound from the Options menu.
I concluded that the built in sound files were not restored properly since each of these actions would play a built-in sound.
I took the phone back to T-Mobile and got a new one.
I would like to turn this phone into a triband but I do not want to risk the same thing happening again.
