Hey just wondering if anyone has backed up and firmwares for the e800 or know of any software that does.
Also unlock codes and stuff would come in handy.

I also have a E800 on Orange. As yet there are NO unlocking codes, it has to be unlocked using a original samsung data cable(E700) and software.
Sorry mate, I don't know about firmware and backups.

hi guys,
im also looking to update my firmware... mainly seeing as orange always insist on wrecking good phones with substandard software...
the apparently standard samsung "problem" with not being able to turn off the camera sound is really getting to me now, and its only been 3 days since i got the thing!
ill be messing around a lot and will post up some results if i get em.

I have to say there is ONE advantage of the Ornage branded software and that is:
When you press the DOWN arrow key, it goes straight into your phonebook.
That sortcut is just not available on the standard software (correct me if i am worng). Otherwise, I would like to get rid of the menus on the bottom of the screen as they block the wallpaper.

Just flash it with the firmware i've posted which includes the flasher/downloader and you will have an NoBrand Unlocked e800/e820 it's the same phone!

ive already downloaded the e800 downloader, didnt see there was firmware posted for it already... cable is coming tomorrow so should be set to go tomorrow night... ill post up the results.
also, anyone experienced in firmware design?
being a programmer by trade and having worked with multiple languages id love to have a shot at designing my mobile EXACTLY the way i want it. Too many times ive done all the work while the phone sat there smiling smugly at me scanning through menu after menu!!
any information / guides / libraries / etc. much appreciated.
