Hi All, my first post.
I like a lot of other peeps it seems has encountered probs with trying to connect their E800 to their pc. My laptop connects to it fine via it's infrared but my pc doesn't, both are running Win XP SP2. There is a good chance it's because of the cheap cable I bought from a company I won't mention... Nice and cheap but too cheap! As this cable also shows that it is charging my phone!
Just wanted to say.. With regards to Samsung acknowledging there is a problem... In the UK Site they list it as not having any software available at all!
I was still able to get it to work with my laptop with the EASY GPRS v2.1 that I had with my V200. Although it would only work with phonebook entries and useless for images or melodies. The options being totally blank.
I see there's a 60mb download linked on this thread... Are you guys getting your E800's to transfer images and/or ringtones with it, the EASY STUDIO that is?
Tried to come in not with heaps of things that have already been answered, if that part has been covered I'm sorry and I will look further.
Kind Regards,
MadMax

Hi there, still no luck i am affraid i recently tried to install again the other day with updated software from Samsungs site.
Thing is, yes i could transfer images and ringtones etc perfectly...then one da it just went. I dont understand at all. Although i could never get teh GPRS thing to work with my laptop.
My cable was also cheap, it was a USB lead. And Samsung say teh software does not support it, which is fine, but mine was working.
I have tried formatting my HDD to resolve teh problem and re - install but still no luck, i guess it may be a driver connected to my laptop that cannot be removed.

ive tried all com posts and speeds still doesnt work, there are alot of people with this problem, youde think samsung would get it sorted out!
alot of people are having the same problem with the E600, E700 and E800 and we all have the correct cables and software
Ive even tried two different operating systems, ive tried it with windows 98 and windows XP and they both dont work, so i dont think its the operating systems that are at fault! |
