HI All
I have a E800 and Original serial samsung data cable and latest copy of Easy studio (from Don's site). My computer will just not recognise the phone. All the com ports match but easy studio keeps showing offline. HELP (I have the same problem with a E600 - original cable) (I have two cables, each one is correct for each phone so I know I am not using the wrong cable and software with each phone).
I also have a infra red adapter and that ALSO does NOT recongise the phones.
Could it be a driver problem with win xp not recognising the phones?
I need some help please, I have all original cables, so I know that is not the problem. I have tried loading the software with the phone open and closed (flip/slide). Has anyone cracked the problem?
Thanx

I have the exact same problem with the E700 phone, i have the correct cable and the newest version of easy studio but it still wont recognise the phone as being online or even pick up the phone or that matter!
ive tried all com posts and speeds still doesnt work, there are alot of people with this problem, youde think samsung would get it sorted out!
alot of people are having the same problem with the E600, E700 and E800 and we all have the correct cables and software
Ive even tried two different operating systems, ive tried it with windows 98 and windows XP and they both dont work, so i dont think its the operating systems that are at fault!

I hope Samsung acknowledges that there software has problems and they release a fix. The phones are practically useless if the software doesn't work.
COME ON SAMSUNG, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!!!!

Maybe EasyStudio DH2 works better for you guys. They skipped G im sure there not done fixing EasyStudio cause in this build i can't select my own language. And for those who still can't connect i have no clue if its the cable, easystudio, your OS or your pc cause it finds my E700 and E710 but shows my E710 as Unknown its loading something im not sure what (still waiting).

I was under the impression that there was not a datacable for the e800 only infra red connection.
I also believe that it is the e700 cable that is compatable with the e800.
What cable are you using mate?

Hi there
Ive had an E700 and had no problems connecting it to easy studio via InfaRed.
I now have an E820 and have the new software downloadable from samsungfunclub for your country and to have had no problem at all with Infared connection with this software.
The software cant be all bad can it?

hey there,
im using an original pcb093lbe cable, which came with some plastic jamming the switch into the 'data' setting...
i was told this was the correct cable for my e800... the easy studio version posted earlier in this thread will not recognise the phone is there...
battery starts to charge when the cable is plugged into the phone though.
was there anything i needed to install before / with easy studio? (the installation on that version seemed to be busted too!)
should the phone be off, charging from cable, with sim card in or out?
thanks in advance

I dont know what to say ive never used a data cable for my phone as i have infared port on my laptop its been very easy though all my samsung phones.
I have never had to switch my phone off or anything along those lines i just line it up ith IF post and after switiching the IR on the E800 away I go.
It does seem that many peopl using cables are having all sorts of probs, the best thing to do in my opinion is to buy a infared port for your computer can be an external one via usb connection and then you can use the services available with out the nned of a cable.
The IF port will also come into play if you ever change you make or model of handset as most phones have IRDA compatability.
Thats my speil over sorry if its not much use but good luck.

Your using the wrong cable. The cable you need is the PCB133LBE.
