When phone is closed, push the volume up or down button two times. That is how you switch between date and time.

in the picture on lg's website the phone shows the date and the time at the same time how do you do this? I am asking for a friend with a 5450

I have a LG LX5550. When my phone is closed, the time no longer shows. How do I turn this on? It is not listed in the User Guide. I've read it 4 times.
Please help ...

I recently bought an lg lx5550 and had the same problem with the front display not working. I popped out the battery, popped it back in and it worked fine.
