I found an update for mobile phone tools, i think it is the newest one.

ftp://ftp2.bvrp.com/motorola

go to that folder and look for update 2.21, i assume it is newer than the 2.16 version.

Anyway, i downloaded and installed that program, but it is not recognizing my v220 phone. Has any one encountered this problem?

I am new here. I see talk about the Motorola V220 and uploading pics/music. I just got my phone and a cord to attach to my pc, NOW WHAT! I tried the links mentioned in the other posts, but it was an upgrade and I need the original.

Finally got mobile phone tools to work for my phone, I just had to turn power cycle the phone.

On to the new problem....

Is there a way to assign a different ringer to different members of my adress book on my V220?

I just got the V220. I have the Mobile tools running and I have successfully transfered graphics to my phone but everytime I try sending mp3's to the phone it locks up when I try to play them. Could someone either email me (larrydp@rochester.rr.com with some help on how exactly to make mp3's (ie what file size, bit rates etc) that'll will play, or post it on here?
Thanks

Hey, I have the v220 and the USB cable hookup; I got the new MPT but the other program isn't working and it's not reading my phone. I just want to be able to pull the pictures off the phone and get some new ringtones on there.

Thanks a lot
