I first chopped the mp3 to several seconds with MPT, then used a program called Switch to convert to MIDI! The MIDI file also doesnt even sound anything like that song and I guess I Can understand why..but then how do you get it to sound like the song then? ahh!!

What are you trying to do? if you want to put clips of mp3 in your fone then try this.
Get cd riper and rip all the song you like in your cd and save as mp3 format. Then use program call audacity to cut it out to 25 second clips as 128 britrate or lowre then save them as export seclection as mp3 now connect fone to MPT and just drag and drop them in your fone folder.

I don't know why your phone is rejecting mp3's it has compatability for mp3 ringers but try what hagan suggested sounds like the best way to do so.

Ok, I have a V220 and the USB 2.0-USB 5-pin cable, and I have tried for a few weeks now to get the software to transfer the files, but am having extreme difficulty.

If somebody could email me or post a working direct link to the needed drivers and programs I would be SOO thankful.

If you need to, my email is xxx@xxx.xx

icon_smile.gif Hey guys I read through your forums and have successfully made some ringtones. I've uploaded them so you can use them as well. They are already in the correct format so all you have to do is use MPT to transfer them to your phone.

You can get them here http://www.halflife2source.com/ringtones/
