Hello to all. I am new here and have read through 10 pages of posts in an effort to get my V220 to work with Mobile Phone Tools on my Windows ME equiped computer. To this point I have loaded phone tools, updated it to the most current version, but I have not been able to get it to work. I have read about a P2K driver from MotClub but when I go to the site and click the link for the driver I get an error, then some porn.
I have been trying to get this to work for 3 days and am getting very frustrated.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated

If you have mpt installed in your puter, direct windows to look in mpt folder under program files when prompt for drivers.

i'm using an mp3 @ 48kb quality as my ringtone but the volume is so low that I can never hear it when i'm outdoor. Anyone else having this problem? I tried higher quality but it's still the same.

Mine is set at 128kbps and it is fine. Which phone are you using it on? I had a member asking the same question awhile back. All he had to do was to increase his volume as he found out after posting his question.

hey
my phone is v220.
I already have it cranked up to level 7 which is the max, but it's still quite soft. Do you think it'd help if i record it at 128kb? Thanks.

Give it a try. Just remember the higher the bit rate the more memory it eats up.

Sorry if this is bringing up an old post, but you may have to normalize the volume on the mp3's, since some may be softer and others may be louder. You need to have the loud mp3's on the phone to be loud. For examply, I used RunDMC "It's Tricky" which was really loud compared to some other songs, but "My Adidas" was soft so I did not use that. I don't think that it has to do with the bitrate however. Hope this helps.
