Hello:
I've just got a Sony Ericsson T226 and have a dilema.
In my apartment, I get 2 bars of Cingular Service, but 5 bars (and great reception) of Cingular Extend (either AT&T or T-Mobile, I don't know). What I want to do is force the phone to use the 'Cingular Extend' when I am in the apartment so I can get decent reception. The add GSM network and Preferred Network option in my phone is disabled (undoubtedly by Cingular)
How do I do this?

I just read that you were in CS. I was wondering if you could help me. I have the $39.99 GSM Nationwide plan, but 500 minutes is too much for me, and I have over 3000 rollover minutes that I will not be able to use. So its still a waste for me. I was wondering if you knew anyone at Cingular or if you could help me get a new plan. I am currently unemployed right now so I really cant afford $40 anymore. I would go to the $29.99 Nationwide plan, but 250 minutes is not enough for me. I was wondering if there was anyway I could compromise and get 350 minutes for $35 or less. I know I would not get rollover anymore, but that would be fine and I know the N/W would be cut to 100 minutes, which also would be fine. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatly there is not much that can be done for that situation. If you are needed a nation-wide plan, the 29.99 and 39.99 Price plans are the only option that there are..... there is no in between.
If you are Ok with a home plan or regional plan, there are some states that do offer home plans and/or regional plans that offer 300 minutes for 29.99 ( it is dependent on your state)

For Conneticutt it is either, 2036407182 or 8609654181, couldnt tell you which one goes in your phone without your phone number, but you can try both and one should work, or you can call Customer service and they can tell you

there are a few factors the depend on your Uncles phones.
If you uncle has a relitivly new family talk plan then they should all be GSM.
On the new GSM nation family talk plan, you can get an extra line for 19.99 on the 39.99 and 49.99 plans......
On plans 59.99 and higher, the additional is 9.99,
And with any new activation on a family talk plan it is a one time activation fo 18$ bucks.
For any specifics fee free to check out Cingular.com or call 1866-Cingular,

ya thats not a problem at all... though if you are going to be permantly changeing phones, i would advised you call cingular and have the IMEI (serial numbers) changed on the account. This isnt imperitive, but will avoid any problemsin the future, and is also neccesary if you have insurance and want the insurance to cover the V400
