I work at cingular, and if you have any questions just ask.
Hi,
I've a Motorola v400 with cingular service since april 2004. I need to unlock my phone so that i can use it when i go back home in India with the local service. I've heard that nowadays cingular provide phones that are already unlocked. So my question is if this is true then how to test whether my phone is locked or unlocked without changing the SIM card?
Its not hard to go into a t-mobil/att store and ask them if you can check their chip in ur fone
I'm pretty sure v400's came out unlocked anyways. Atleast I know the Cingular ones are.

Uh goat, I hate to be the one to break it to ya. Customers need to press the * key, not the # key, during their recorded announcement to get into the vmail server, or at least in SC anyway. It was that way in TDMA land in the SE region as well.
ya.. you are partialy correct on that... with the recent Voicemail standardazation Cingular went though the *(star) key is the standard key.. though the # key will work as well in most areas (as that is what it used to be) and cingular left the function in the system.
Im just used to telling people the # key LOL
neither of those buttons allow us on the west coast to access our vm from landlines that I am aware of. the # lets us send a page to the fone and the * does crap something else I forget.
I have too much Nitro-Tech in my system right now feel sick and cant think hah.

I can get to the internet, but can't check my email. It appears cingular doesnt let me have that option or arrangement with aol, whereas the other proviers do. I went to mobile mail and they have a chart, and was wondering why cingular is the only one that won't allow it. If theres a way, please tell me

Does anyone have the wap browser settings for samsung sgh p107? I'm having trouble trying to check email on aol and can't seem to get to my mail.I thought I had the right settings put in, but i guess I'm overlooking something and have no idea what that may be. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I have 2+ phones on a Family Plan. When I call another phone on the plan, and the phone is off, it connects me to MY voicemail and not the voicemail of the phone I'm calling. If someone calls me and my phone is off, it goes to my voicemail (as it should).
Any idea why this is the case?
