There is nothing that can be changed by you to make it ring longer. You can send calls to voicemail quicker, but making the phone ring longer is not an option. If there is a problem with you not being able to get calls, I would call tech support and get them to check the settings on your voicemail options.

Your not the only one who does
And you can technicly extend the ringtime before a call gets fowarded to VM....... (there are a few variables, depending on the area your are in and what VM server your acct is on) but you have to call customers service to do so... and the maximum you can set it for is 30 seconds (it is defaulted to 15.)
EDIT: At least that is the case with the Great Lakes market... i dont know if its the same in the pacific (which i assume is where your work by your screen name)

In the Washington / Baltimore market you can adjust the seconds between call and VM on the LG1300. Since it's a built in function on the phone under the call settings menu, i would think you could adjust it regardless of the market you are in.
Might be wrong though, but i doubt it, at least on the LG models.

I got a phone that was previously on T-Mobile but unlocked. Therefore, it has T-Mobile software on it and is trying to access the web with T-Zones. They apparently have disabled the menu options to modify the web connection setup and I have no way of connecting.
Will a Cingular technician install Cingular software on my phone, or will they not do it since it is unlocked and I didn't get it from them?

The ring settings for the 1300.....
Settings --> Call Ssettings --> Call Forwarding --> If no Reply --> Activate --> To Voice Mail --> Then you can choose the delay time between the first signal received and the time to when the voice mail will pick up.
If that's what you tried and it didn't work. Not sure if it was, but it's decent information to post anyways
