I have a Nokia 6610 and a DKU-5 cable to connect to PC. I also have GPRS connection enabled by my Service Provider.
Can anyone please let me know how i can connect to the Internet and browse from my PC, using IE? What all is the setup needed?
If done so, you should normally now can select your phone as modem.
Dial-Up number is *99#
Username and Password you get from your provider.

HI,
When i connect my phone using my DKU-5 cable, it connects to the USB port. So, how will the phone act as a modem? When i create a Dialup connection on the computer (in Internet Explorer) what should be the details given?
How will the connection determine to connect through the phone that is connected on the USB port?
Also, the link you gave had a .inf file in it, and the DKU-5 drivers, which i have installed on my machine. Where should i use the Nokia_6610_Cable_driver.inf file that i have downloaded?
Please help.

There is also an guid for installing infrared drivers... it's quite the same for cable drivers.
What exactly do you mean with

After i connect my phone to the PC using DKU-5 cable, what are the steps that i need to follow to connect to internet. I have DKu-5 drivers on my PC installed along with PC Suite installed.
How do i access internet. I think, i need to create a dilaup connection to access internet thru PC? If so, how do i do that..?

If everything is installed correctly (including modem), open the Internet Explorer, click on Extras, choose Internetoptions, there you choose Connections and choose Add.
The rest should be selfexplaining. Be sure that you only select the Nokia phones modem to use.
And as I said:
dial-up number is *99#
Username and password are given by you provider (of you cells contract)
