I would go with Verizon. I recently switched from Cingular(GSM) and I couldn't be happier!!! My phone actually works in the places I go. Plus the Motorola 710 is the best phone ever. I'm not really worried about CS b/c hopefully I won't have to call them for anything. If nothing else Verizon has a 15 day return policy. Get the verizon phone and if you don't like it just return it.

You could upgrade your phone. You just need to ask them what kind of discount you would get if you get a certain phone. T-Mobile's Customer service is great, but you just need to ask them what you want.
I called them about upgrading my phone, and they said that I can get the SE T610 for $74 instead of the $150. I've been with them for almost two years. Haven't had much complaint.

Verizon only gives you $100 towards a new phone every 2 years IF you sign up for another 2 years. So a phone that cost you $100 when you first sign up may cost you $250 after 2 years because thier price points are all screwed up.

Keep in mind that Verizon uses a CDMA technology and in many parts of the world almost every country uses GSM. T-Mobile uses GSM and their phones work everywhere there is a GSM site providing that your phone is a dual or tri band and that you have the world class feature on your account. If you are thinking of using your Verizon cell phone in places like Europe, Asia, Middle East, etc.: It wouldn't work. It doesn't matter if you buy the most up-to-date, advance feature phone from Verizon as it would not work abroad.

actually t-mobile has a upgrade policy after the end of your 1 year contract. You can buy a phone at the NEW price and get all the rebates if you sign another year contract. However, I would go to Verizon because their service is way better and they have the "new every two" plan. I have a prepaid phone from verizon and it picks up indoors and you have to walk a mile to get reception from tmobile.
