Hi, my friend has got 3100 and he has data cable........how does he get internet on his computer? It doesnt have infrared and it doesnt have modem! Is there something like gprs modem which u can connect to phone or computer? .............or there is no way around at all? Please help, thanks

The fone duznt have a modem.....i dont think u can connect the pc to the internet thru the Nokia 3100..any1 if i'm wrong correct me

That's correct, no modem-possibilities for the computer when connected.

Hi thanks for quick response....so i guess he will have to get a new phone as he is in hostel and definitely needs internet.........so i guess that nokia really poured a very poor product.....as gprs is mainly non functional.. .only gprs over wap..... By the way someone told me other that people are even using nokia 3530 for internet on pc......can it be possible?

Nope, also not possible with the 3530.
Cheap phones normally don't have modem capabilities (for computers to use).

Ok thanks....well thats partially true....my samsung x100 is cheaper that 3100 here and has got modem in it.....also sony ericsson t230 has got that capability through infrared...... Its just with nokias...... I never really liked them anyway
