I bumped into this forum and saw that you had the same problem as I do now. It is three days since I purchased a k500i and I cant transfer photos from the phone to PC - neither by IR nor by cable. Did you, eventualy, manage to solve the problem?

I have Z500a and I get this message when I use file Manager "connection error - unexepected error" but I use any of the other sony ericsson programs it works fine. But I need File Manager to get my pictures off the cell what can I do to get the Pictures off the cell. I also called Sony Ericsson and told them this problem but they said there is something wrong with my computer but I tryed this on 2 computers and same problem so it can be the computer.

I cant find any software that will alow my to access fones memory and to make the shutter silent. 
What software did you use so that you could make the shutter silent?

Using FMA I found there were many sent messages stored on my phone. Deleting these cleared the problem.
