Sprint has started offering a plan to use the phones as a modem. I dont remember what the prices are I've never actually had to add the services to a plan. In the past you could get away with using it to send and receive email with out worrying a great deal. But then it wasn't supported except on 2G phones. Now Tier 2 supports the phone as a modem plans.

New information Sprint has told us that we do not have to support the handset as modem plan anymore, we do offer it as a plan you can get 20 , 40 50 and 80 megabytes plans; but since it takes third party software you are on your own.
