if you use the cable as a hook up to the phone for a modem sprint will cancel your contract.

My folks used to use their laptop and cell phone this way and NEVER had trouble, in fact Sprint stores sell the software to do this.

you can lose you service hooking up your cell phone to a laptop I am a customer care rep and last week a customer lost his do to over the kilobytes with his unlimited vison plan because vison does have a limit that cell phones can't possible go over but a laptop can especially with huge megabytes files this customer was charged per kilobyte 1 cent for going over his unlimited vison plan his bill was over 700.00 in kilo byte usage!

but if you only use surfing the web and email you will be ok just don't do downloads.

if you don't have a unlimited vison plan you will be charged 1 cent per kilobyte it is called casual usage.

If you have the 15.00 unlimited vison no casual charges will happen unless you go over sprints predetermend amount of kilobytes that they know no phone can possible ever use that is why it is called unlimited and trust me you will not get credit for your usage and if you try to take it to court sprint will win becuase you accessed thier network ilegally!

So Scott what is your operator number?

I just got off the phone and there are no writen limitations. So if Sprint wants to try to charge me because they screwed up I would say there is a lawsuit in the making. I guess it will be like the lawsuit of the hidden charges by Sprint. Any ways wont be back here again.

Let me add something here. Goto Google and put Spinrt lawsuit in, see what comes out. Also check Rip-Off Report.com.

Costomer service no service.

Robertguero made a comment to my response wanting my employee number which will not happen and he said he will not return to this forum, because it could cost my job, but he is lawsuit eager and possibly an intellectually handicapped all anyone has to read is the terms of service at http://www.sprintpcs.com about vision usage you will find it at the bottom of the page.

I am spending my free time here and not getting paid for my responses, when you went into the Sprint store and started services it clearly states on the Advantage Agreement along with the receipt that is stapled to you agreement with your signature on the receipt that any disagreements with Sprint PCS will be settled with arbitration not in court unless small claims, it is fairly simple read what you sign and before you sign read all terms of service online or ask for the terms of service before entering a contract.

I am not protecting Sprint or any company by any means do not ever sign an agreement you do not have a full understanding of and if you do have a full understanding and break the rules or laws or be prepared for the consequences this is simple commonsense!

I am a very good Sprint rep and will help people with any of their concerns but please do not call me or any Sprint PCS rep when you try to Circumvent the system we have no sympathy for you nor does the supervisors but by policy we have to show empathy for you problem you created.

If these comment I made bother you email sprint at sprintpcs.com

Sprint pays me an income and to enforce the policies and to help customers why yell at us when you break the rules you did it not us!

Thank you for listening to my post 

Dude, i was trying to find any "hidden" charges on that sprintpcs.com website, and didn't find any...all i found was:

Nationwide Network reaches over 240 million people. Coverage not available everywhere. Multimedia service requires a Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Phone. Sprint PCS Vision Services: Not available while roaming off the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network. Downloading or use of premium services are not included with Sprint PCS Vision access and you will incur separate, additional charges for premium content. Sprint PCS Vision Services are not available with any device used as a modem. See Sprint PCS Vision Brochure for more details.

I don't think that helped you as a customer representative....neither does it say a word about downloading "not premium" content...

Realboy I am not sure of what you are saying, this subject is about using a vision caple phone and a USB cable for a connection to the internet to a laptop or desktop to avoid paying for an ISP or trying to skirt around having to purchase modem card and subscribe to Sprints Vision only plans for laptops that you buy megabytes per month like minute plans for you phone.

Here is a link to the terms of service http://www.sprintpcs.com I cannot copy the content because of copyrights and I can’t put a direct link to the terms of service info because it is a pop up window with no URL when you click the link at the bottom of the page TERMS AND CONDITION a pop window will come up click the link TERMS AND CONDITION again scroll to Sprint PCS Vision and read it

I Hope this clarifies everything
