I have the LG C1300 Cingular phone, and I am attempting to create myself a personal ringtone. To do that I was needing to know what format the files need to be in for me to download them on my phone. Is it 96KBPS mp3? WMA? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
joe

I only understood that the c1300 will support simple midi's only. Besides how could you possibly load them onto the phone? I'm using DataPilot but it's a horrendously bad program.

Well, it supports super-tones and real audio, because I sent an mp3 to the phone and I downloaded it to my media folder. I just can't figure out to make the audio file my ringer, there is no option for it.

well..... what are you using to send the data? It may be that the phone doens't understand the files attributes...which I assume is configured through whatever your using. -Cosmas

Oddly, the C1300 supports AMR format for download and playback of music tracks, but does not allow you to set them as ringtones. Not entirely sure of why, but we have had quite a few Cingular customers give it a try using our ZaptoPhone service with no luck
