I have LG 1200 phone. When receiving calls, the display number shows 1- area code-number. When saving the number to my address book, I have to remove the 1. How can incoming calls display only the area code and numbers?
Thanks!

as far as I know there is no need to remove the 1 from the numbers when you save them it'll just be an extra digit that the phone dial when you call that number from you phone book. Is there a reason you want to remove the 1?

It is my understanding that by using the '1', it will show as a long distance call, rather than a local call. Presently in our area code we do not have to show the area code before dialing on a local call, but that may becoming soon.

If you have a nationwide plan including LD, then why is this an issue? You wont be charged LD..............
