Hi everyone,

I would like to thank the experts in this forum in advance for their advice. This site is great!!

I am having trouble uploading games to my v400 with Midway. I have installed all drivers needed, but still get the error message, "Timer expired, downloading canceled." The Com ports are correct under the settings, but in my phone I still do not have Java App loader under Java settings. Not sure how it gets there. I have been reading several forums and people refer to this but I don't have it!! I am not sure if this is the problem but if anyone knows please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

To enable the Java Applet loader on your phone, you need to use a program called PST.

I'm getting the same error with my v220. I guess the PST is for older versions like T720s. Because people who use T720 and T720i are telling me that it works for them. But not for me. I get the same error as you do.

Have you guys go into config setting and look to see what com port was it on ? and looking into device manager to see the fone modem on com port #??? try to match that in the PTS setting. But in my case i have to remove the bluetooth cause is taking up com 1,2,3,4,5 and forced my fone modem to com 10. PST only go up to 5 !!!. Hope this info help icon_wink.gif

If you have enable the java app setting, than change the com port under setting in midway software. If you are using a usb data cable, it should be com 4.

EDIT: seems I had the JAD files but the JAR files were missing.... finally got download to work icon_alien.gif

I have the newest version of PST 6.9.2 and Midway 2.8

I went through the process of installing PST and enabled java menu (which I already believe I already had installed...

Then installed the Midway program... had the same issue of the "timer error" I found this web site/post and followed the COM 4 idea...

But now the phone shows the download option when trying to load the JAD file... but as soon as I click download on the phone MIDWAY says download failed as does the phone...

any suggestions?

I bought my data cable from CELLCABLES.COM
