aPete1225;
When you plug in the phone and load up mpt, you should see your phone skin pop up in desktop. There is a button to the right of the skin to slide out hidden menu if it is not out yet. Click on the multimedia icon. It will open a window like bowser with picture, audio folder from your phone.

I'm having trouble hooking up my motorola v400 to my PC.
When I attach the phone, I get a "New Hardware Detected" but it can't seem to detect the drivers. Could anyone email me the Motorola V400 usb driver for win XP or a link to download a free copy.
I thank you in advance to anyone that could help.

The driver alone will not enable you to d/l ringers/wallpapers unless you have a software like mobile phone tools. If you have mpt, you would have to direct it to the mpt folder under program file.

I do have mobile phone tools installed but when I attach my phone to my USB port I get "USB Device Not Recognized" I was told that I needed the usb driver for win XP for the Motorola V400.

The drivers are located in the mpt folder. Unistall driver and let windows prompt for the driver. You will need to direct it to the mpt folder.

what ol' duce is trying to say is this:
You will be prompted with Add New Hardware Wizard:
1. 'Install from a list or specific location(advanced)'
2. 'Search removable media'
x'Include this location in search:'
(C:\Program Files\mobile PhoneTools)
x = select / no x = unselect
3. Next
4. It'll install itself then hit Finish.
It'll prompt you 1 or more times for this. So repeat as necessary.

Drivers along will not allow you to send ringers/wallpaper to phone or vise versa, you will need a software call mobile phone tools.

This is years old now, but I completely gave up on that phone after I discovered verizon totally sucks and got seriously overbilled. the worst part is there system is customers serve us, and their mentality is the customer is always wrong.

thanks for any help anyone can provide |
To transfer tone to your fone you need PST( Phone service Tool) amd EMS manager, I have not deal with CDAM phone so not much hlep for you, but as far as transfer tone and pics You need those 2 program (verizon use CDAM not GSM)most program gear toward GSM
