just recently bought a v600, and a bluetooth usb adapter, and i read all the tutorial on here, but i can't seem to click on that blue/red icon...i click on it, but nothing open, so i right click on the bluetooth device (blue and white) and click send file, and i try to send my mp3 file, but this error message showed up...
The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.
If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.

You did paired the phone with computer right? If not, you must do so before you can transfer via, etc.
To further help you, we will need more infor on how you went about in installing the bluetooth.

Your v600 phone bluetooth is also on as well? Do you see a bluetooth icon next to the strength bar on phone when you try to connect? When you try to connect with bluetooth adapter, does the bluetooth icon turns green?
What type of usb adpater did you get? Try a different metod of connecting to phone. On mine Dlink adpater, I click on the shortcut bluetooth icon. Once I do that, the adapter connects to the phone with a green status light instead of red. The V600 also shows the bluetooth icon next to the strength bar.

The whole time when you try to transfer file, the bluetooth lights are on for both the phone and the computer? Or did the phone disconnect from the laptop after right after it connects. I had an instance where I try to connect to another phone and it does not work. The phone sees the adapter and says connects, but right after it disconnects. I have yet to resolve that issue. My guess is that my adapter will only recognize one device. Do you use other devices to connect to the usb adapter or the phone is the only one?
I cannot think of any other suggestion but to try a fresh install. Unistall and reinstall again. I am sorry for not able to help you any further. I know how you feel when things are suppose to work and it doesn't. I will keep you posted when I find more info.

I am also having the same problem with my V620. I can get my phone recognised on my bluetooth device and get my computer recognised by my phone but cannot transfer files as it states connection failed each time? I telephone Motorola for help and eventually after trying various things they said they couldn't help! MARVELLOUS!
