I also downloaded the PC Sync and Contents Bank software to use with my L1400 phone and USB data cable and while I can use the PC Sync software just fine, for some reason the Contents Bank does not find my USB cable. When I choose the USB com port it just times out trying to sync with the phone. Options are for either Serial or Infra red transfer and I don't think USB works for it. If any of you have managed to get this to work with a USB sync cable please tell me how to do it! I actually bought a serial data cable to see if this will work *got it cheap off Ebay*.

No go with the serial data sync cable and Contents Bank either, so the software itself must be incompatible.

I just purchased a KG800 Chocolate phone. The software cd which came with the phone installs on my computer alright, however, when I try to connect the pc with the phone, nothing happens. I am rather frustrated as I can't convert anything because I have no other programs to put files onto my phone. Any suggestions??

I get a "timeout" to whenever I try to connect my phone. I have sent a message to LG and am hoping to get a reply with some suggestions as to what I could do to fix my situation.

LG has made it very difficult to work this software, but it does work.
Here is how to get it running.
Step 1 install the software, all of it.
Step 2 reinstall and see if it asks you to remove the modem drivers, if it does then they installed correctly, don't remove them.
Step 3 open your Chocolate phone and go to settings then connectivity.
Step 4 in connectivity go to modem and choose yes to activate the modem.
Step 5 Don't close the phone, leave it open.
Step 6 Now you can plug in the USB cable, not before this is done though or it wont work.
Step 7 give your PC a couple of seconds to recognize the phone, if it goes to the found new hardware wizard, your drivers didn't install right, reinstall them and start again.
Step 8 Open the software Contents Bank.
Step 9 Go to tools, Options and choose LG USB Cable (Com4).
Step 10 Click connect and you should be good to go.
Now that we have it running, the bad news is, ContentsBank.exe leaves multiple instances in your Task Manager.
You will need to Ctrl-Alt-Del and Stop the process for each one at the end of your session.
Also you may need to delete the drivers and reinstall them each time you use the software.
Thanks LG for the Pain In The Arse Software.
The phone is nice though.
Hope this helps.
