Hi all,
I just picked up a USB data cable for my LG G4011 phone (AT&T), that I installed and got working. I downloaded the LGSetup software from the LG website, and installed it, and it works fine, to a point. I am able to access the phone using the PC Sync software, and can read/write to the phone book, and import my outlook entries into the phone book and schedule, etc. I can start up the Contents Bank software, and it will connect to the phone (and display the empty banks, etc.), but whenever I try to download any of the ringtones to it it either freezes (progress bar doesn't move, phone stays stuck on 'uploading' until you finally hit cancel after 10min), or crashes out the LG Contents Bank software entirely (with the windows XP 'send error report' screen coming up).
If it matters, I am running Windows XP Professional SP2, with version 401X-v2.1(2.1.0.12.23-EN) of the LG Contents Bank software. I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.
Thanks in advance!
Darren

I just purchased the USB data cable for my LG4011. I have successfully downloaded the driver.
Now what? what is it good for. Do I need software or something to run something?
How do I download ringtones or access my phonebook from my phone to show up on my computer?

I also have experienced the same errors when attemting to use the extra ringtone upload feature in "LG Contents Bank" so it evidently is a software flaw. I recently downloaded the software again to see if any changes have been made but it appears to be same version.

Where did you download the software from?
Even though you have had trouble with it, I would like to try it.
Thanks !

LG has software at 4011 product page on the us website. go to [URL=http://us.lge.com/index.do], mobile phones, gsm, g4011 product details... at top right you will find a link to "LGSetup".

Greetings:
I attempted to get the software but I couldnot find the LGSetup link as mentioned. Is there anyway someone could email me the software? I'd really like to play around with this phone and get some things changed. Thanks.

I had the same problem. I connect first, then I choose the ringtone I want to transfer and then chose a blank/empty slot and download. I got several crashes but just kept opening the software again and again until it took. Keep playing with it, you will get it to work eventually. The problem I now have is that after you have downloaded a ringtone from your pc to the phone, any more ringtones you download will overwrite the previous one. This means that you can only have one ringtone downloaded at any given time. Once you try to add a second ringtone download, your previous one is overwritten and gone. Hope this helps. If anyone else needs the software, give me your email address and I will forward it to you. I made a similar request with no responce but found it by doing some round about searching. Hopefully I can save someone a little aggrevation.

I am having this problem, mainly trying to get bitpim to even recognize my phone to make it to the next step. I have read the other post and tried following these steps but I cannot find the LGSetup mentioned in other postings and I am not sure what the "LG Contents Bank" that is mentioned means. At this time I am being told to use bitpim but I have had no luck in using it and having the program or my computer recognize my phone. PLEASE HELLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!
Thanks
Art

It was a nightmare to find LG Setup, but I came across it and thought I should post the link.

Once you go here you will see PC Sync Software in the upper right corner click on this and it will bring you to the download. If you have a popup blocker hold the control key as you hit accept
