hi,
i was just wondering if i were to flash my e710 to the non-vodafone firmware, will all the pictures and videos i took before flashing be lost???
is there a way to avoid this? will backing up before flashing actually help save the videos?
thanks in advance

WELL ,AS YOU SEE I ALSO HAVE E710 AND WHEN I USE FULL FLESH THAN ALL INFORMATION STORED IN MY PHONE ARE GONE, SO IF YOU LIKE TO COMPLETLY GET RID OF VODAFONE FIRMWARE AND FULL FLASH YOUR PHONE ALL PICTURES, GAMES, SOUNDS, PH BOOK INFO STORED IN PHONE AND VIDEO CLIPS WILL ALLSO BE ERESED!
SO BEFORE FLASING ALL INFOS YOU NEED FROM PHONE STORE IN YOUR PC WITH EASYGPRS!
ALLSO IF YOU MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR VODA-FIRMWARE, AND THAN FLESH YOUR PHONE WITH ANOTHER FIRMWARE, AND AFTRE THAT IF YOU AGAIN PUT YOUR VODA-FIRMWARE BACK TO PHONE YOU WOULDN'T HAVE YOUR OLD PICTURES AND VIDEOS WHIT IT!
SO ANY WAY MAKE A BUCKUP OF ALL DOWNLOADABLE FILES FROM YOUR PHONE WITH GPRS, AND ALSO MAKE A VODA-FIRMWARE BUCKUP IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG THAT YOU CAN PUT BACK OLD FIRMWARE!

I RECOMMAND YOU :
IF YOU LIKE TO CHANGE VIEW OF YOUR MENU IKON, PICTURES AND IF YOU LIKE TO MODE YOUR FIRMWARE IN YOUR OWN WAY I RECOMMAND YOU A "Samsung Firmware Browser & Modding by Januka" !
YOU CAN FIND THIS SOFTWARE FOR MODING YOUR BROWSER WITH GOOGLE , JUST TAPE: " intext:"januka" " IN GOOGLE SEARCH !

When backing up your phone, make a full back-up. But when flashing, you can opt to only flash certain regions. This allows you to not flash over certain pictures, menus, your IMEI, and any other aspect of the phone. In an x426 for example, you wouldn't flash the 0x00500001 - 0x00600001 region (estimated) if you wanted to keep a custome menu but wanted the newest firmware.
