1. Get cable on ebay, (or anywhere on the internet as long as it's the right model #)
2. Get software from roswell108's site (first post in this thread)

I was wondering.. I entered the codes on my samsung x426 to unlock it and it seems to have worked, but I noticed that everyone mentions that I would be prompted for a password. I didnt get this prompt at all. So im not sure if I did everything quite right.
Also, the phone was originally used on AT&T and it still shows the AT&T logo when it is turned on and when I try and use internet I cant seem to because it tries to use Mmode to sign on. Is the phone not unlocked completely? Or is it stuck like that?

The version of Cerebros Unlocker 1.5 you have is infected by the TROJ_VB.AJ virus in the executable. Do you have an uninfected version you can provide? If not does anyone else? I have not been successful in finding a cleaner for this virus. If anyone else has a cleaner for it, please share the info. It only showed up in the virus scanner software tables in December of 2004 and it is considered low risk, no damage, etc, but most virus software quarantenes or deletes the file when they see it thus making it "difficult" to keep around unless you burn it to CD. Burning a virus infected file to CD is not a smart move.
If this is a "false positive" that others have found and I am "beating the dead horse (yet again)", please let me know and I'll delete this post after apologizing for the ruckus. I have searched and did not find much info on the TROJ_VB.AJ virus on the net and none here, so I think (unfortunately) that this is a legit infection of this program.

These instructions were great! I just unlocked a Samsung X427 phone with Cingular service using the *#9998*3323# method. Thanks Roswell108!!

Just updated to Norton Antivirus 2005 with my new laptop I have been using to run my little cellular operation. I checked the file again when I read this post, and there is no infection. You may want to check your computer. I will look into it more, but everything in the program checks out to be normal.

I'm in a strange spot. A client of mine has an X427m and within two days her daughter had managed to ruin the SIM by putting in the PUK too many times. But when I went to pop in a new SIM, it gives me "SIM Lock, Enter Password?". No code I've used has done nothing, whether I tried entering a password (1234, 1234568, 0000000, etc etc etc because she forgot it) at the SIM Lock screen, or whether I've used the EEPROM wipe codes with no SIM in (as "#" is like the 'enter' button at the SIM Lock screen). I've put my T-Mobile SIM in and it asks for it. I put in the dead SIM and it says PUK Code Disabled. I leave a SIM out and "Insert SIM". Basically, I can only really enter codes with no SIM or a good SIM in there, obviously, but any time a valid SIM is in there, the SIM Lock is there.
Cingular service, and I'm not trying to unlock the phone for different providers but rather just get the damn thing to boot so I can disable all security codes and give her her phone back. Any ideas, before I tell her it's her damn fault and send it back to Samsung, or to have her pay me to nab a cable and reflash it?
