Ok guys here is an update...for those that dont remember Im the guy who posted who the x426 I unlocked it with cerebros but when I sent it to relatives in south america they told them that the phone wasn't "unlocked enough" and so now they are able to use it. Apparantly they had it sent out and they unlocked it "enough." Roswell suggested using WinIMEI software to unlock it and that should work...I assume it has something to do with the USA voicestream option in it.
Here is another dilemma. I had also sent a Samsung p107 that wasn't unlocked enough but the phone guy over there told them that they weren't able to unlock it fully and that the only way to do it would be to flash it which could damage the phone.
So basically my question is this...if I unlocked the p107 with the same WinIMEI software like roswell suggested, should it unlock the phone fully just like it would with the x426 without having to reflash? I'm assuming that they down there don't have access to the Win IMEI software so basically is the WinIMEI software the ultimate solution to unlocking the p107 and x426 fully? What would make it so much better than cerebros is it the USA voicestream option?

But it works with a samsung x426 AT&T service??? Because I tryed and tryed and nothing works!!! And I don't want to lock my phone because it's from USA and I'm in Chile now!!!!
Thanks! Mary
*****!!!!!**********!!!!!!***********!!!!!!!!!!!!!*******!!!!*!!!!!!!* !!!!
Check it... If your getting the 3323 Error such as me !!!! (I've got a Smasung E105 with Ver 1.6 on it,., And have tried everything.. Did this.. A WHAMMO !! UNLOCKED !!! AWESOME.. Thanks Roswell for sending me in the right direction.. Now when I did this I happend to use an ATT sim card .. He says towards the bottom that you need another to fully unlock I think.. SO next step is to copy this and Sit in the weeds like the Lion I am and Prounce on the next Cingular Dweeb I see... Borrow it.. And Whammo.. Hello Pre-Paid Cingular.. and I get to keep my 200$ phone.. Whew.. But,.,,,,)
I guess I have a solution to ur problem. Try this if its giving the 3323 error.
1> Type *#06# on your phone and write down your IMEI (you'll need it later) or get it from the back of your phone.
2> Put a simcard from another provider and power on your phone
3> At the "wrong card" message type: *2767*688YOURIMEI, for
example: *2767*68835363900065487#
(imei is 14 digits ignore the 3 digits after the slash "/")
4> Your phone will reboot and then your simcard from other provider will work
--this 4 steps is for a temporary unlocking, when you power of your phone
it'll be locked again, to permanently unlock it continue to step 5--
5> After your phone has rebooted on step 4, dont press any key or do anything,
just type this: *0141# and hit the send button
6> A message will appear telling you that your phone is personalized
7> Shut off the phone and enter the SIM of yet another carrier, Cingular.
8> At the "Enter SIM lock password" screen, enter eight zeros as in 00000000.
9> YOUR PHONE IS NOW UNLOCKED
Bye[/quote]

I'm having trouble unlocking my phone I have a X426 it is a AT&T phone. I just bought a Suncom sim card and I'm putting a #9998*3323# code in and it's telling me only emergency calls only. I looked at the booklet and it says it's a rev 1.1. Can someone help me. I don't really know anything about this

Ok well here is an update on my dilemma. I got in touch with my relatives and basically the phone didn't work.
Just to recap: I'm trying to get a Samsung x426 and P107 working overseas specifically in Colombia. I know their service provider takes the phone because its listed as so on the website.
Now I used Cerebros and WinIMEI to unlock them. I used an ATT sim card to unlock and tested it with my own Cingular sim car. They are unlocked but when they are brought over there the guy tells them that "they aren't unlocked enough." Apparantly they can fix the x426 to work but not the P107. From what they told me of the P107 it sounds like it needs to be flashed because they mentioned "the phone could be damaged."
Anyway bottom line is Cerebros and WinIMEI could not unlock the x426 enough to work overseas. Now Mary are those steps you listed supposed to address this problem?
Any suggestions? tips? advice? questions?

I have a x426 on ATT but I need it on Tmobile or just unlocked. So, I have to download the cerebros thing and then buy a serial cable or a usb cable and that driver roswell108 has listed on his site to use a usb instead of a serial and then use cerebros to unlock it right? I do have the newer x426 that can't be unlocked by codes.
