js1662,
I checked and my USB port is on COM1.
I guess I need the switch capability. I will go on Ebay and order one .(PCB093LBE).
Anyone recommend a good seller for the correct OEM serial data cable?

Actually if you just get Samsung DIY, it can do both. It saves the time and is a bit more thorough than either of those

My suggestion was an alternate because he was having issues with Samsung DIY, never used the program myself as it was never necessary.

xXxSamsungxXx Would be willing to post that edited rogers x427m flash file? I can' t figure out how to use Januka, or I'm just to impatient to figure it out.
Like how do you open the .sre file? or how do you change it to a .bin?

3) Is it compatible with Samsung x426

Yep, flashed my 426 to the 427m v1.2. Just let to you know that this flash file has a cingular startup. Now my question is can one change this or does anyone know where I can find a unlocked 427m flash file with a Rogers startup/shutdown? |
There isnt one because Rogers doesnt make the 427m. You can edit out the Cingular stuff with Januka though. I replaced it with images from my Rogers firmware because I have a couple of the phones. |

roswell108 I was asking about alternative because with Samsung DIY was with Chinese GUI or something else ... Question marks all over the place...
Now I finally got my hands to it and .. well ...
I backed up firmware from my x426 with Optiflash. Got a nice sre file . Then I used mot2bin since Januka doesn't open sre files. When program finished work I got bin file. Then when I tried to open it with Januka I got an error messsage saying " ....... out of range" and Januka just closed
Any ideas ?
