xXxSamsungxXx Would be willing to post that edited rogers x427m flash file? I can' t figure out how to use Januka, or I'm just to impatient to figure it out.
Like how do you open the .sre file? or how do you change it to a .bin?

3) Is it compatible with Samsung x426

Yep, flashed my 426 to the 427m v1.2. Just let to you know that this flash file has a cingular startup. Now my question is can one change this or does anyone know where I can find a unlocked 427m flash file with a Rogers startup/shutdown?

There isnt one because Rogers doesnt make the 427m. You can edit out the Cingular stuff with Januka though. I replaced it with images from my Rogers firmware because I have a couple of the phones.

I would but unfortunatel im on dial up and the file is just too large, just convert your backup x427m firmware to bin file with mot2bin, open in januka and you can edit out the cingular stuff.

Thanks to Roswell,xXxSAMSUNGxXx,ka34k,js1662,everyone else..
X427 to X427M..I received my OEM serial data cable (pcb093lbe) today and finally was able to change back my IMEI from all zero's to the original with Cerberos (finally got the spelling right). Didn't know if it really mattered changing it but feeling much better just if the phone cops are looking. USB cable worked fine for the flash but needed the serial D/L for the imei.

I have tried to change IMEI # (after flashing) using USB cable and Cerberos and no success. Program says than it is done , but when I am checking the numbers it is still 0's.
I have also tried to change the damn # using WinIMEI but it asks for some sort of password to change it. When I tried to read IMEI # it just crashed icon_sad.gif

So it looks like the only cure to change IMEI # is to use OEM cable with switch and Cerberos.
IS IT ?????

look people, if you don't have the patience to read through 37 pages of valuable knowledge(of which everything you need to know is on the first) why bother posting another redundant question? Suck it up and go buy a new phone!!!!!!! Thanks roswell, I own a cingular dealer and am unlocking att&t phones to complete migration commissions without taking the loss on phones. Yes people whenever you buy a phone, the dealer sold it to you for less than they bought it for, then hopes you won't default on the bill for 6 months, then we get a commission for bringing you on to the network. Roswell easily made me thousands, and you complain about 10 bucks for a data cable? I'm now swiss.

Cool down buddy ! I went through damn 37 pages and have not seen any post complaining about God damn 10 bucks cable . If you meant me - than I am not complaining I am just asking about alternative route, if you will.

Actually that is forum so I think that is what it was meant for - to ask a questions !
