...didn't even think of that. Glad it worked. This will work on Samsung phones, the service doesn't matter. As long as they are either on the list of phones in the program or can be substituted for another one on the list (like q100 for x426/7) then they can be unlocked.

Just a little warning to any of the newbs coming here and posting the same topic (no matter what you want to rename it) asking how to unlock their phone or what to do when it says "Locked: Return for Servicing"

Unlocking:

If you have Rev 1.5 (x426) or earlier and most older models
Use the *#9998*3323# Trick (look for it on the forum)
The *#1111*WHATEVER# code will NOT work

If you have Rev 1.6 (x426) or later and most newer models
You MUST use unlocking software. Codes WILL lock your phone FOREVER

Locked: Return for Servicing

There is only 1 working solution, you must flash a copy of the firmware that is not in the locked status. (Most) Unlocking programs will NOT disable this issue, and your service provider cannot give you a code

If you do not plan to use your phone with another service provider, there is no real point to unlocking your phone other than to sell it. If you don't need to unlock it, don't take the risk of disabling the phone altogether

The *#9998*3323# Method:

1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to
3. When Incorrect SIM error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey.
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.
9. Type 8 zeros (00000000)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.

Cerebros Instructions:

1. Make sure phone is plugged into cable, cable is plugged into computer, drivers are installed, and phone is on.
2. Start Cerebros Unlocker 1.5
3. Click the "Models" drop-down box
4. Select your model from list (q100 = x426/x427)
5. Press Unlock
6. Wait until finished and unplug phone
7. Remove battery, replace, and turn phone on
8. Phone is now unlocked

WinIMEI Instructions:

1. Make sure phone is plugged into cable, cable is plugged into computer, drivers are installed, and phone is on.
2. Start WinIMEI
3. Make sure U.S.A. (Voicestream), A Line, 1 PC, and the com port you are using are selected from the appropriate drop-down menus.
4. All selection boxes should be unchecked
5. Click Write IMEI in the bottom center
6. From the new screen that appears click RD IMEI Setting
7. Wait for TestModeOn Pass and the box in the upper right to display Pass and turn green before proceeding
8. Click UnLock from the button cluster in the bottom right
9. Click both Exit buttons and disconnect phone
10. Your phone is now unlocked

Note: All previously listed programs and an unlocked version of the x426 rev 1.6 firmware and optiflash (for flashing it) are available at my site: http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/s/j/sjs342/

Check it... If your getting the 3323 Error such as me !!!! (I've got a Smasung E105 with Ver 1.6 on it,., And have tried everything.. Did this.. A WHAMMO !! UNLOCKED !!! AWESOME.. Thanks Roswell for sending me in the right direction.. Now when I did this I happend to use an ATT sim card .. He says towards the bottom that you need another to fully unlock I think.. SO next step is to copy this and Sit in the weeds like the Lion I am and Prounce on the next Cingular Dweeb I see... Borrow it.. And Whammo.. Hello Pre-Paid Cingular.. and I get to keep my 200$ phone.. Whew.. But,.,,,,)

I guess I have a solution to ur problem. Try this if its giving the 3323 error.

1> Type *#06# on your phone and write down your IMEI (you'll need it later) or get it from the back of your phone.

2> Put a simcard from another provider and power on your phone

3> At the "wrong card" message type: *2767*688YOURIMEI, for
example: *2767*68835363900065487#
(imei is 14 digits ignore the 3 digits after the slash "/")

4> Your phone will reboot and then your simcard from other provider will work
--this 4 steps is for a temporary unlocking, when you power of your phone
it'll be locked again, to permanently unlock it continue to step 5--

5> After your phone has rebooted on step 4, dont press any key or do anything,
just type this: *0141# and hit the send button

6> A message will appear telling you that your phone is personalized

7> Shut off the phone and enter the SIM of yet another carrier, Cingular.

8> At the "Enter SIM lock password" screen, enter eight zeros as in 00000000.

9> YOUR PHONE IS NOW UNLOCKED

1. Where can I find the phone's Rev number or that x... thingy?? I've searched everywhere!
2. Mine's Samsung X100 is that Rev 1.5 or 1.6?
3. Don ~ Diego posts unlocking code, all in one code, dis/enable network, auto network lock off, under 'HOW TO Samsung...' what's the difference between them? which one should i use?? and how do i use any of those codes..? or...
4. Should i just ignore that thread and use the method you posted here?

PLS HELP.. icon_twisted.gif

Hi i'm from Argentina,my name is Valentin...

i have a samsung x426.... please tell me if I'm mistaken in any of the steps I describe next:

1. First, connect the cable to the phone and turn it on. (Phone must not have SIM card).

2. Execute "msstdfmt_reg" and then execute the program (Samsung Unlocker by Cerberos v1.5.001).

3. Now select the model "S500=x426,x427" and press the "Unlock" button.

4. Wait until finished and disconnect the phone

5. Remove battery, re-insert them again and turn the phone on.

6. The phone is now unlocked.

---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------

Question: how do you change the imei in a x426 model using software (Samsung Unlocker by cerberos v1.5001)?

please detail it for me.. it's the only thing left that I need, to change the imei

In case of not being able to handle the Cerberos soft, what other soft could I use to change the imei? Detail it for me, if you know it please and apply it....
