Question: how do you change the imei in a x426 model using software (Samsung Unlocker by cerberos v1.5001)?
please detail it for me.. it's the only thing left that I need, to change the imei
In case of not being able to handle the Cerberos soft, what other soft could I use to change the imei? Detail it for me, if you know it please and apply it....

So i followed the instructions to unlock a samsung s307, and i got as far as personalizing the phone. it was originally a cingular phone but by following the instructions i was able to use tmobile on it. my problem is i was not able to unock it for all services because the sim passwork of 00000000 did not work. i also tried generic 1234 and 12345, but those didnt work. my problem is that this is not my phone and the person who it belongs to wants it back and wants to use cingular on it again....does anyone know how to unpersonalize it?????or make it go back to being a cingular phone only?????or a password that will work to unlock it for all services?
thanks

First put the Cingular SIM in the phone, then Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
This should set the phone back to Cingular. The SIM password is different than the phone password, the default can be the last 4 digits of the SIM's phone number or 1111, but I wouldn't get that wrong too many times or you lock the phone. Gluck.

the problem is i personalized for the tmobile sim card, so when i put in the cingular sim, it says...
sim lock
Enter password
so i cannot enter *0141# because it doesnt take those...it enters it in as the sim password, then says wrong password.
please help me or im dead!!!!

Tmobile problem: Sounds like you forget to reset the phone password first, You may need a cable at this point if you can't figure out the password. I don't know of any alternative besides a hard reset of the phone's memory which will lose everything you have on the phone.
E316: go back to the first post, it covers all that...

this may sound like a dumb question, but do i just need a data cable or does it have to be a data cable with the software that comes with it?
i understand that the process is to get a cable, set it to d/l, and use the program from your site to unlock it....
i am confused cause i asked the guy at tmobile about data cables, and he said you can get one from like best buy for cheap, but that it doesnt work unless you have the software that usually comes with it i.e. it would cost like 40 dollars, where as a cable by itself will cost like 10 dollars...
is it neccessary to have to software that usually comes with it or is only cerebros necessary?
