I got my t-mobile account closed after a week i opened it. My friend gave me a cell for my b-day under his name and we made an address change for the bill to come directly to my house and days after we did that, the account was closed because of some discrepancies on the account, isn't that bullcrap? now we have to wait 2 months before we can reactivate the account!!!!! can someone help me or know of a place where i can complain about this? because this is messed up!!!!!!!!

do you know what some of those "discrepancies" were? there is a possibility that they may not be related to the address change.

I don't know what the discrepancies were about but two days ago my friend got a call saying that he had comitted fraud and that his t-mobile account was going to be canceled for 6 months i think, that he could either keep or return the device but i don't really know what happened. I mean i know that it is too much of a problem for an address change, do you know of any other reason why the account could have been canceled and all this trouble created? Thanks for your help!

there is a lot of identity theft going on these days, and that is as deep as i will get, the rest is speculation completely off topic in this in this forum.

Call first, more than likely if it is a case of mistaken identity the billed responsible party may be asked to go to your local retail T-Mobile store with proof of identity picture id, utility bill that shows the billed responsible party's name and address as it is shown on the account to be faxed into the fraud department
Fraud with wireless service is a big problem that is why whether you call or email you MUST verify the account.
Once the information is received and cleared the account will be restored.
