I want to buy the V600 and am wondering about how i would transfer MP3's to the phone. Is it best to use bluetooth or the usb cable? Will Motorola PhoneTools v2 be able to cut the sound files down to a certain length or do i need mp3 cutter for that? Does the Motorola PhoneTools v2 that comes with the usb cable definitely work with the drivers or should i go with the bluetooth? Will i need drivers for the bluetooth method? Can you explain how to get the mp3's from my comp to my phone usin the bluetooth method.
Any and all answers to these q's will b greatly appreciated.

I suggest you get the usb data cable and not the bluetooth. The wired can do much more editing than the bluetooth. For example, you can edit your phone setting with PST software. That is you can delete the factory wallpapers, change the startup logos and audio that can with the phone.
MPT is only a software that enables you to transfer files, edit phone dir, text message, etc. It will not edit ringtones. You will not mp3 cutter. I use it myself and I love it. I am not sure if the MPT software comes with the driver for the cable. If the drivers do not work. Email me for a different one.
The bluetooth works much the same with as the wired version. The adapter comes with driver and software to download ringtones and wallpapers. To transfer ringtone or wallpaper using bluetooth, it is much like opening windows explorer. You simply drag and drop ringtone or wallpapers to the appropriate folders (audio, video, picture).
Again, a usb data cable will do much more than bluetooth. Ask yourself if you just want to download ringtones and wallpapers. If youdo, go with bluetooth. If you have the money buy them both. I did.
I hope I answered most of your questions.

I use Bluetooth for transfering pics and music files to my phone, mostly because its slicker-than-slick. I suppose it's also slightly easier because I don't even need to take my phone out of my pocket to send a new file to it. No need to "plug it in". Heck, I can even send files to my supervisor's phone down the hall!
