Yes you read it right they do charge 250$ for an unlock. Not sure why because their major competators are not GSM. I think its prob because alot of people take their phones to the United States and Rogers charges and arm and a leg for roaming/long distance down there, where as if you had your phone unlocked you could just do the prepaid sim card deal.

I was talking to a Rogers dealer the other day who told me that he had a friend in Toronto who bought an HP IPAQ and becaue it is not supported by Rogers they charged him 80$ for configuration. Not sure if its true but thats what I heard.

Why use 1 phone? When in one city pop in that sim card, and when in the other city pop in the other card. Seems like the simplest solution to me.

Hey Samsung... what's up? Been crazy busy lately... thought i'd say hello..... the reason for 1 phone is while it's true you could use multiple sim cards, that could become quite cost prohibitive (expensive) especially if those smart cards are linked to contract or 'postpaid' accounts.... tell 'em samsung....

Hey Wayne!! Yeah I know the feeling I have been pretty tied up at work myself. I think that tracker2208 is referring to what someone said on the first page of this forum, that he was going to use 2 phones overseas (therefore I imagine they would be prepaid lol) and he wanted to use two phones with two different sim cards because he was travelling between a couple cities and didnt want the roaming charges on his prepaid accounts. Yeah I dont know what you would need two phones either. Just take the battery off the phone and put the new sim card in when you got to the other city!?!?
