Hello adi82 ,

I saw that you have the E710 with DF4 firmware. Is there something I should know about this version? Everything is working fine, or it has some bugs that I should know, and how can the bugs can be fixed if they are present?

Thanks.

F4 is the non-voda one and i have found that this firm is new

you need to mod your phone after flashing

if you have the right cable evrything will be easy.

MagnuM,

Thank you so much, I have read the thread put up by Don but I am afraid that it may not wake up after the flash. So I am really looking forward to your step by step experience.

Thanks ya. icon_biggrin.gif

Hi adi82,

Thanks for the URL. But if I may ask, why did you say, "you need to mod your phone after flashing here"

Is it a must? Can I opt not to? What happens with the Mod?

Thankie

THE DON HAS SPOKEN!!!!! icon_lol.gif YEAH!!!!!

Don, just to check with you, will your step by step pictorial work for my phone?

Phone Specification
Samsung E715 (Has T-Mobile logo on outer flap but Vodaphone Menu Icons)
*#7777# - E71BUWL2
*#8888# - HWver: REV E7 1.0
*#9999# - REV E7 1.6

Problem Faced
Horrible Vodafone Interface (Too much Redness)

What I Would Like To Achieve
Have this phone working with the Original Generic interface (non-Vodafone) for the E715 and on at least the 1800MHz band.

Thanks again Don and P/S, what's the weather there like? It's rainy over here in Malaysia.

Had the same problem a few months ago, just flash it with the firmware E710XXDF4 and it will be fine.

@jenny

if you want to modify your firmware like to turn off the camera sound ,change the start up animation ,ect you have to mod.

These are the mod that I have flashed:
Turn off the camera sound
Clock leaf for the outer screen (different clock)
Start up/off animation for the outer screen (stars)
Sms tone with vibra

You can find these mod here
