i have the motorola v300 and i want to unlock the "java app loader"....
i did exactly the points on the first site.
now the PST 7.1.1. says when i press: phone -> read:
ERROR: Phone not connected. Please connect and power up the phone!
the phone is on com3, so i changed to com1:
then this error when i press phone -> read:
Please power cycle phone and try this operation again (twice!)
the progress bar reaches 50% and then he stopped........
what should i do now?
where can i download other versions of PST?
where can i download updates for PST?
is there an other way to unlock the java app loader?
THX
Have you install all 6 drivers correctly? if not you need to re install them.
You have to disable the modem that is in the #3 first be for you force change your fone modem to take com#3 cause if you don't both modem will share com#3 and causing a comflic. If all not work you need to find and in stall the PST patch
Hi Old fool,I have the same probl & u r the person who can help me,I have a V220.Can u write to me the name of the drivers as i am completly lost, when i open the Device Manager and Motorola USB Driver, which has 3 of them (1) Acessories Interface (2)Data logging MCU Interface (3)Test Comand Interface, thats all, do i need more.

The V551 is using a new bootloader so you may need to find PST 7.11 and the universal patch to work with it

Hi everyone, after reading this whole thread, which helped me a lot, I thought I'd give you info on my experience with my phone.
I bought a C650 on monday, and after charging it, etc. I was looking at a few CDs they offered me with all the tools and extra stuff, etc. I decided to look for the stuff myself, and on one of the other threads I found a link that had everything. I downloaded MPT 3.11, installed it and while at first it didn't work, it was only because I let Win XP install the driver by itself. I removed the driver, and reinstalled it from the MPT directory, since it includes the Motorola USB modem driver WITHOUT running MPT itself. After the driver was installed, I started MPT, and it detected the modem immediately, and I could use it without any problems. On another note, I have installed MPT on my home desktop, which run Windows XP with SP2 and all updates, and also on my work laptop, which only has SP1 and doesnīt have ALL windows updates. So much for MPT.
Now after transfering pics, and music, etc. I said "Hey, how the f* do I send games to this thing?", so I started searching here, and learned about PST. I dl and installed PST 6.7 (the much mentioned "PST_6.7_GENERAL.zip" file). I installed it without any problems, it installed all itīs little drivers, rebooted, and afterwards I ran it. My modem was on COM port 4, and following the directions I could read the data from it, and activate the Java App Loader. *** I have only installed this on the laptop, I haven't tried at home with Xp/SP2, I'll do that tonight ***.
Next step was running the Java App Loader, connecting the cable, running Midway 2.8, selecting the JAD and sending it. The upload worked fine, and I was able to run the games. The only thing and what Iīm gonna try to find next is what I have to look for in the game to make sure I see the whole screen, cause I only see a part of it now. If anyone has a link to a thread or info on that I'd really appreciate it.
In short: all this stuff works on a C650, so you should be able to upload all you want without any problems!
I'll search some more later, but anyone know how screensavers are uploaded?
