But there is still the most important thing. Where would someone find games to transfer to their phone over the cable?

Also, is there any way to transfer the ones on the phone to the computer?

Hi There
found this forum....followed the directions EXACTLY and Voila it woked first time....i even run XP so i am even more happpy it worked.

As to where you can get lots of Java games from....there are websites you can pay £4.50 a game ....there is also a file sharing program called DC++ floating around on the net ...install...search for JAVA GAME and select all .jar and .jad files (they are a bit like bin & iso files in teh way they are used)

anyway quality forum i was told by Moto Cust Srv i couldnt have 'JAVA APP LOADER' activated on my phone ....think ill call em and give em a piece of my mind 'chuckle' anyhows hope it works for all you motorola's out there.

If you already have a game on the phone, any way to download it from the phone onto your computer so you can back it up, that way if your phone is broken and you have to send it in, you can back it up and stick it onto your new one?

if you have any can kind of problem like
cannot tranfer the jad file do this:

1. Connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable.

2. Right click on Mycomputer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager

3. Find
Modems. Click on the + sign and look for "Motorola USB Modem"

4. Right click on it -> Properties -> Advance -> Click on Advance Port Settings.

change the com port number to 7 and press ok

go to midway
file -> settings -> com port = 7

thats all

if you need anything else, come to Argentina, we'll give you everthing
jajajajaj it's a lie, it's a third world country, but we are clever than the 1st world

If you use MS Windows XP, some difficulties can arise with p2k driver installation. After installing all drivers, there will be just non-working "USB composite device".
§ You should run the Registry editor (Start->Run…->regedit->OK).

§ Then you should find key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\Vid_22b8&Pid_3801  \ or something like that.

§ Right-click on key Vid_22b8&Pid_3801 -> "Permissions...", than set Allow "Full control" for user EVERYONE.

§ There is a key inside the key Vid_22b8&Pid_3801 (in this example, it's 5&28da0f34&0&1). You should open it. Find there string "Service", with value "usbccgp". You should change it to "usbhub".

§ Then you should open the subkey "Control". Change there string "ActiveService" value from "usbccgp" to "usbhub".

§ Then delete all key, starting with "Vid_22b8&Pid_3801&MI_xx", where xx is some number. (OF COURSE DON'T DELETE THE KEY, THAT YOU'VE CHANGED!!!)

§ Now you have to disconnect the phone for 5 seconds, then connect it. System should find all the devices again, and you should choose the same driver.

§ Then open P2kMan, wait something about 2 minutes (until Phone status would change to "connected"), then press "Update file list". List of files should appear.

Sometimes you have to reboot your PC
